I received the following e-mail from Kevin Raye earlier today. Bad news on the state sovereignty bill (LR722). Now it's up to us. Who wants to get a voter initiative going for the April 15 Tea Party?

=======================

Just wanted to update you on this issue.

Under the rules of the Maine Legislature, Rep. Cebra’s resolution required the approval of the Legislative Council (comprised of the ten party leaders of the Senate and House) in order to be considered by the full Legislature.

It was considered and killed by the Legislative Council this week when it was rejected on a 6-4 party-line vote, with all six Democratic leaders opposed, while the four GOP leaders (Raye, Courtney, Tardy and Curtis) voted to allow the Legislature to debate the issue.

Sincerely,

Kevin Raye

I can get there ASAP in the afternoon, possibly 3, but definitely before rush hour! Looking forward to it; getting some poster board soon to get a head start...any suggestions for slogans etc appreciated! Will try to recruit others to bring along (my mom for sure, lol).

My wife and I will be there! I'll bring along as many friends as I can....I don't think I'll need to twist any arms! I'll check in when I have a head count.

I like the sound of this! Should get as much participation as we can especially from our own members. Count me in! Willing to do what I can to help this cause and to let the people of Maine to see what democratic control of Maine has done to our state.

Do we dress like Indians?
